It was social night for home group. We all met at the Bryants to grill burgers. We had some hope the recent mild weather would hold. It didn't. Even with the cold wind it was fun and dispite the rest of us guys giving them a tough time, thanks to Alvin and Tim the food got cooked without major public emergency intervention. So because it was 40 outside and the wind was howling we retreated indoors to eat, laugh, eat, and discuss who was the worlds greatest wrestler, eat and of course eat. Did I say I LIKE this homegroup? After the 768 hamburgers were consumed we all gathered in Alvin's recreational viewing palace to watch "Facing the Giants". ( great TV set-up BTW. )

Without doing a full review let me say this is a cool movie. And even the guys suffered from ' something in my eye, here' once or twice. ( Pass that tissue over here man. ) If you have not see this movie, it is a story about a fictional Christian school and the revival that broke out in their personal lives, and in the lives and play of the team when the coach leading by example begins to trust, honor and praise God. No matter what !!

The movie was produced by a church in Albany, Ga for an unbelievable $100 grand. Using volunteers from the church, but turned out amazingly well. It has grossed over $10.8 million at the box office so far not counting DVD sales and rentals. The profits are going to mission causes.

Oh and look for UGA coach Mark Richt playing ...... Coach Richt.
