I have not lived in my parents house for thirty years this past May. My mom is excitedly converting what used to be my old room into her new office. All these years her office has been down in the basement, but since her last surgery those steps are getting harder.
In the closet we discovered a box of mine filled with books. Boy Scout guides, R.A. Books, my first bible, a whole set of Hal Lindsey volumes, but mostly we found aviation technical manuals. Several light plane owners handbooks and more intriguing the operating handbook ( 975 pages ) for a Convair F-106 Delta Dart supersonic fighter-interceptor jet of the middle 60's. I had forgotten I had that one. It is a very cool addition to my Boeing B-52D manual, my Boeing KC-135 Manual, and will share shelf space in my office with manuals for several airline types, the Boeing 727, 737, McDonnell Douglas MD-83 and my pride the Gulfstream GIV SP manual.
Does anybody know where I can find a surplus F-106 now that I have the instructions?
What a cool ride

I just noticed that my two last music related posts, were all about music in 1974. That was not planned. I am not going through one of those periods of only listening to Oldies.
In fact the last cd I got was the new Still Remains.
Here is my sister clowning around with that band last week in Charlotte. Yes we are BOTH not quiet right. But we have fun. Life is too short to be so serious
Rock On girl.
The Governor proclaims South Carolina Aviation Week
Aviation is vital to the economic stability of the Palmetto
State and the quality of life of its people. To recognize that,
Gov. Mark Sanford issued a proclamation declaring Oct. 7
through 12 South Carolina Aviation Week.
AOPA Southeast Regional Representative Bob Minter worked with
the South Carolina Aviation Association (SCAA) to provide
educational materials to send to each of the 62 public-use
airports to help promote general aviation throughout the state.
This includes AOPA's latest DVD Local Airports: Access to
America, used nationwide by AOPA Airport Support Network
volunteers to build public appreciation for local airports.
Distributing this type of information about GA is important as
Congress debates FAA funding.
South Carolina has six commercial service airports, 54 GA
airports, and four military airfields that are essential to the
Palmetto State's diversified business base, growing population,
and extensive tourism industry.

I may be revealing my age here but I am Energized !!!
It may be a nostalgia kick to you, but I had this urge to dig out some serious Boogie.
So my stereo is jumping ... and I do mean jumping to vintage Foghat .
Eight Days on the Road .... Lonesome Dave Rules here.
Listen to it and try and sit still. Don't pat your foot. I dare you !!
