A small but LOUD group of the faithful ( who could get off on friday ) traveled the three hours to Misenheimer, N.C. yesterday. We were there to cheer the Lady Trojans on to another victory at the NCAA CVAC Tournament semifinals. It was neck and neck at first but our lady's cruised in the second half to a convincing victory over Barton 73 - 59 at Pfeiffer. Anderson has won three straight CVAC Tournament titles. Saturday afternoon they will play in the final round for their 4th championship in a row. GO A.U. The win also pretty much assures A.U. will be in the NCAA division II Regional Tournament as well. Either as top seed with a win today or as the at large team.
In other Lady Trojan News # 22 Deidra Langston was selected one of the all time top 10 players in CVAC Women's Basketball history Thursday night. And in the same night Deidra capped a stellar senior year by being named the Carolinas-Virginia Athletics Conference Player of the Year. What an honor! Way to go Dee Dee.
