I pre-ordered the new nav system for the plane. The Garmin 496 is a top of the line, state of the art GPS with Terrain avoidance ( a good thing ) live radar, TECAS ( aircraft avoidance ) real time weather at every airport enroute, XM radio and a data link to ground stations.
