This is a hard entry for me to write. Lately events in my life have brought these thoughts to the surface. I don't want it to sound like sour grapes. But lately I have run into an issue I want to address. Friendship and Fairweather friends.

Friendship
Noun
it's a term used to denote co-operative and supportive behaviour between two or more humans.
Friends will welcome each other's company and exhibit loyalty towards each other, which involves mutual knowledge, esteem, and affection.
They will also engage in mutually helping behavior, such as exchange of advice and the sharing of hardship. A friend is someone who may often demonstrate reciprocating and reflective behaviors. We value what is found in friendships

Decline of friendship
The number and quality of friendships for the average American has been declining since at least 1985, according to a 2006 study. The study states that 25% of Americans have no close confidants, and that the total number of confidants per person has dropped to 2.


Fairweather Friends
Noun

* A person who is dependable in good times but is not in times of trouble
* A friend who supports others only when it is easy and convenient to do so is called a "fair-weather friend".
* A friend who is only nice to you when it's convenient.
* Someone who abandons you in certain situations.
* A friend who is only a friend when circumstances are pleasant or profitable.
* A friend who is only around when they need you.


TOP 10 INSULTS FOR FAIRWEATHER FRIENDS

1. He sticks with his friends till, DEBT DO THEM PART.

Every day I try to love and value all my friends. In John 13:34-35 Jesus says, "A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another."
"By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples,"

Some times it is hard to take the time to love each other. My prayer is that we all make this a renewed effort.
